Hasselblad

Hey guys and dolls. I am now interning with Bill Lusk, and while I was poking through Bill's stuff I came across these amazing Hasselblad medium format film cameras! Now if you get a chance to know me, you'll find that I love film, and film cameras in all their quirky, old-fashioned glory.
These film cameras bring back a certain vintage style to one's photography experience. The viewfinder is on the top, and you hold the camera at your waist. I mean who hasn't seen an image, video, or movie where someone is holding a twin lens or Hasselblad at their waist taking family photos? I, myself, own a Mamiya C330 twin lens and it is by far my favorite camera that I have ever owned.

It's the feel and weight of the semi-heavy "black box" as you hold it in your hands. It's looking down into the viewfinder, slimming down your vision until its all you see. A waist-level viewfinder forces you to look away from your subject in front of you and look at it backwards in the ground glass. It makes it so you really "see" your subject "in camera" rather than the current point and shoot method most are so accustomed to in today's photographic world.

In short these cameras may be old, they may be "vintage," but they carry the heart and soul of photography with them, and that will never go out of style.
